Competence Centre for Catalysis
The Competence Centre for Catalysis should be an internationally recognized research organisation both in academia and industry and a world-leading centre for research, education and technical development in catalysis for emission control and catalysis for sustainable energy systems. The activity in KCK is focused on three main areas of research, i) catalytic reduction of NOx under lean conditions, ii) catalytic oxidation at low temperatures and, iii) catalytic techniques for sustainable energy systems. These areas contain a number of separate projects, both application oriented projects and projects for build-up of knowledge- and technology platforms, like model catalysts based on nano-technology.
KCK is financially supported by Chalmers University of Technology, the Swedish Energy Agency and the member companies: AB Volvo, Volvo Car Corporation, Scania CV AB, GM Powertrain Sweden AB, Haldor Topsoe A/S and The Swedish Space Corporation.
