Asymmetric Synthesis and Catalysis

Asymmetric Synthesis and Catalysis

18 - 21 Jan 2009, Bolans Village (Antigua and Barbuda)

Abstract: Stereochemistry remains a key component of organic synthesis, and the challenges of asymmetric synthesis continue to provide a fertile ground for new discoveries and inventions in stereocontrol. The conference will include new chemistry ranging from diastereoselective methodology, through enantioselective organometallic processes to asymmetric organocatalysis, and to applications in synthesis. Chair: Phil Page ( University of East Anglia ) Plenary Speakers: Andreas Pfaltz ( University of Basel ) Barry Lygo ( University of Nottingham ) Dan Comins ( North Carolina State University ) Edwin Vedejs ( University of Michigan ) Huw Davies ( The State University of New York, Buffalo ) Jim Cook ( University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee ) Karl Anker Jorgensen ( Aarhus University ) Marco Ciufolini ( University of British Columbia )
